the nest

The Nest was perfect for what we were looking for. We came to Gainesville for our granddaughter’s graduation from UF. We wanted something clean, quiet, private, and convenient to UF & nearby restaurants & grocery stores. The Nest provided all of these features. And the price was very affordable. Parking was located right next to the Nest, making loading & unloading our car easy. Mini splits in the bedroom & kitchen worked well. The Nest has essentially 2 buildings, right across from each other - one which includes the bedroom, closets and bathroom and the other that includes a cute little kitchen and dining area. There is an access code to the bedroom & a key for the kitchen. We liked having the 2 buildings as one of us could go to the kitchen if the other was sleeping in.I considered giving The Nest a lower rating because of a few things that can be improved. But since our basic needs were met and the price was right, I decided to give it 5 stars.A few suggestions for Luis:Provide a lamp next to one of the beds, soap for the shower, a hairdryer, and a table next to bathroom sink to put clothes on while using the shower. Other possible improvements: Fill in ruts in dirt driveway, especially in the divot by the street, where there’s a rough transition from the concrete to the dirt driveway. Repair the non-working outlet next to the bathroom sink.Once again, we were very satisfied & plan to return to the Nest when granddaughter #2 graduates from UF.

Quiet, hidden property. Simple and clean. A little older, but right for the price.
