Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: Within easy reach of a host of exciting tourist attractions and surrounded by spectacular mountain and moorland scenery, the small village of Carrbridge has a great deal to offer during both the summer and winter months. Situated within the Cairngorms National Park, the village is home to a pony trekking centre, a challenging 9-hole golf course and a good selection of shops and eateries. The Landmark Forest Theme Park and Visitor Centre features displays on the natural history of the Highlands and once a year, during October, the Village Hall is transformed into the setting to find the World's Best Porridge Maker, a competition not to be missed! Nearby Aviemore, with its championship golf course and wide selection of shops and pubs is well worth a visit, whilst the surrounding countryside offers great walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities together with superb skiing on the Cairngorm Mountain Range. A fantastic location all year round!
