About this apartment rental
Now entering our 8th season, the Groovy Chalet is a 750 SqFt mountain pad with a private deck, driveway, and entrance. Our great proximity to hiking trails and skiing was mentioned in Travel and Leisure's "Best Small Towns in the Catskills" feature in 2022. This groovy unit is located between Belleayre and Plattekill mountains and is close to cool towns like Andes, Flesichmans, Pine Hill and Roxbury.
Well-behaved and housebroken pets are welcome for a $30 fee. NO ADDED CLEANING FEE.
Located in the lush mountains, (1600 foot altitude=great views!) on three acres of primarily wooded land. Free WiFi , coffee and tea service +fire wood included. A full kitchen makes it easy to cook meals. There’s also a charcoal grill for your exclusive use out on the deck. (warm weather months only) Major grocery shopping is about a 5 minute drive away. Guests also have their own fire-pit! (warm weather months only)
High ceilings with exposed beams throughout. The living room opens to a private deck with fantastic mountain views! A super comfy bedroom and adjacent office space adds to the chill mountain vibe. Fully heated during the cold months via forced air, electric and a cozy wood stove.
The pad is close to everything that the Catskills have to offer including hiking trails in the Dry Brook Ridge Wild Forest (trailheads nearby), kayaking at the Pepacton Reservoir, and of course, skiing, riding and mountain biking at Plattekill and Belleayre. A variety of great restaurants like Trattoria Locale and Binnekill Tavern as well as quirky bars like The Inn Between are a short drive away.
This full, mid-century chalet-like apartment is its own separate unit. It is attached to a larger 2700 sq ft.house, yet has plenty of privacy.

Hosts were communicative and the wealth of info on the welcome packet served us well! Great shower too. I felt like I was in the family room in my childhood. What a dream!!!

Trish and Damian were wonderful - Trish gave us a bunch of information about the town and local restaurants (we especially loved cafe mornings!). The house was very well decorated, and we spent a lazy Saturday morning sipping coffee & listening to some of the records in their collection. Both nights my partner and I sat out side and watched the stars and fireflies all around us - I'd definitely recommend this as a wonderful getaway in the mountains.
