Rosies cottage hideaway in Stanmore Bay with lovely seaview

This is a beautifully presented bach/cottage in a superb location. It is bright, light & cheerful. We loved the view from the deck & we loved hearing tuis in the nearby trees. The host was very welcoming & excellent at responding to messages. There was a heated towel rail...hallelujah! I wish every host would invest in these. We appreciated having a washing machine & drying rack. The bed was very comfortable. I wish every host was as thoughtful as these when choosing bedding options for accomodation. Marketing seems to dictate that a thick duvet equates to comfort. The ONLY time that is true is when it really is freezing cold! It wasnt that cold whilst we stayed at Rosies Cottage, so we were delighted to have both cotton & woollen blanket options, which we were very comfortable sleeping under. In fact the only place in our 2 wk holiday where we were comfortable sleeping!

We are tall! As a result we did leave with a few bruises from banging our heads on light fittings & the awning bar on the front porch. The lounge seats were quite low & soft. The oven is gas & is a bit temperamental. Finding the parking spot on arrival was a bit of a challenge. Would these things prevent me from staying again? Definitely not.

The garden was absolutely beautiful, loved the outlook, what a lot of work has gone into the garden care. Thank you. The cottage had lovely features and furnishings. We relaxed and enjoyed our time there. We loved Stanmore Bay Beach.

Parking was at the top of the drive, we worried if the car would be safe. Kitchen small, but sufficient.
