We loved our stay at the farm. The little chalets are recently-built and come with a well-appointed kitchen and comfy beds. We were a bit concerned with the lack of air-con going into the trip, but the fan and windows kept the room very cool. We loved the waterfront view of the pond, which has lots of ducks and birdlife. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog along for this little staycation. The sundowner drive was really scenic and everyone at the farm was super friendly.

The wifi doesn't yet reach the chalets, but there is fairly strong MTC signal to check emails etc. if needed.

My heavens! What a gem of a place. We were impressed with the solitude and beauty of this working farm. We were lucky to arrive after the successful rains filled the lake, creating such a calm mood, especially at sunset and sunrise. Each chalet is placed for privacy. The design is simple yet very interesting with warm touches. We slept like babes in the quiet with super comfortable beds. The family was lovely and attentive to our comfort, building a fire in the evening for the hot water tank and sharing the history of this unique spot. The dogs came at no cost🌺 as did the cattle. If you’re looking for a peaceful, starry place not too far — but far enough — from Windhoek, you’ve found it here.

The only drawback was leaving after one night.
