CASA EMILIANA The Town-House Gaucin Spain

The most beautiful guest house I've ever stayed in and with breathtaking views that you could never get bored with. Marina and Jeffrey and fantastic and very friendly hosts who have turned this amazing house into an expression of their lives living in special places around the world. The rooms are beautifully decorated and there is a big kitchen/pool table/dining room with a massive terrace on the top floor for guest use. If it's available go for the king room with your own balcony, you won't regret. And then there is Gaucin which is a magical gem of a town, white and sparkling and the perfect place to unwind.

Absolutely nothing!

If you are looking for kingly comfort in an Andalusian white village--look no further. Casa Emiliana in Gaucin is THE place to stay! Only a short stroll from nearby pubs and restaurants the hosts have created an escape from drab, predictable "box hotels." Their incredible attention to detail combined with their love for travel and culture has resulted in room designs with different, unique vibes. The common area on the 4th floor offers breathtaking views of the valley. On a clear day one can see Gibraltar, the Mediterranean Sea and Morocco--absolutely brilliant! The property can be an excellent jumping-off point to explore other neaby white villages and larger towns such as Ronda and Estepona. The hosts have lived at the property for years and are immensely helpful making recommendations for places to visit and dine. Parking is off-site and free. Due to its centralised location, Casa Emiliana is an easy walk from the parking areas we found just outside the village's maze of streets. Unfortunatelty we managed to 'just' miss some of the village's bigger festivals and found some of the local artisan galleries closed during our visit. However window-gazing showed there to be some mighty talented resident artists worthy of a re-visit. Gaucin is about a 90 min drive from Malaga airport and only about 30 min from the coast. Its location makes it a wonderful alternative to the noiser, densely packed and stacked sea-facing condos. We have zero hesitation re-booking a stay at Casa Emiliana and recommending the property to family and friends. Treat yourself to an amazing stay in Andalusia and book Casa Emiliana!

Wat een fantastisch verblijf in Casa Emiliana! De kamers zijn prachtig en heel ruim. Vanaf onze kamer en het balkon hadden we een werkelijk adembenemend uitzicht tot Gibraltar (en Marokko op heldere dagen). Marina en Jeff zijn ontzettend lief, behulpzaam en gastvrij, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. De gedeelde keuken is heel goed voorzien van alle gemakken en het terras is een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen. Een absolute aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar een perfect verblijf in Gaucin. Wij komen heel graag terug!

Casa Emiliana es un alojamiento muy singular por su excelente atención, decoración, vistas y potencial para el descanso y la desconexión. Marina y su marido, los anfitriones, se esmeran muchísimo en hacerte sentir muy bien acogido y cuidado en toda la estancia. Las habitaciones son preciosas y un oasis de paz. Qué gusto tiene esta mujer decorando. Y la terraza ofrece un espacio perfecto para disfrutar de las vistas y de la compañía. Repetiremos seguro!
