Country Cabin

Very cosy and beautiful location, my partner loves animals and with this been on a farm it made the experience amazing

Nothing bad to say

The cabin was well stocked and had a great veranda. The couch bed wasn’t very comfortable.

I didn’t have a car as I was hiking the Cumbria way and the only pub in town wasn’t serving meals the night I was there so I got a frozen pizza from my host. There wasn’t anywhere to have breakfast the next day either so I had to walk a few hours to find a cafe.

Gaps in decking but saw a previous view so brought items to block so I could fully relax with dig on decking

We liked the privacy of the cabin but we didn't feel isolated as it's right at the bottom of the touring caravan site. It was also very tranquil, which was surprising given that it is part of a working farm. The cabin is well equipped and maintained. The entrance is approached via a large deck, something we found useful for enjoying a drink or coffee while taking in the surroundings. The settee converts to a pull out bed which was quite comfortable although when it was out, we didn't have much room for anything else. This is by no means a fault of the cabin, merely the fact that we were travelling with our dog and he requires additional space. The shower room was well equipped too, with a hair dryer and shaver point. I did find the shower enclosure a little cramped but there again I'm no "slimJim"!

We really didn't have any complaints about the place itself, however the roads to it had just been surface-dressed so a little hazardous at times and also quite narrow and bumpy. Again, no fault of the hosts but something just to be aware of.
