    We stayed in a Basic Double Room with a window. The facilities were basic but well-maintained, and the bed was actually quite comfortable. However, there were only two power outlets by the bed and no bedside table, so we had to put the devices on the floor to charge them. The hotel was a renovated old building, and the soundproofing was absolutely TERRIBLE. Despite having a window, it offered zero noise insulation, the sound of motorcycles in the alley felt like they were driving right over us. Inside, the noise from neighbors using the bathroom or flushing the toilet was louder than when we used our own. You could even clearly hear people laughing and chatting in other rooms until 3:30 AM. It’s a shame because the hotel provides a great bed, but the environment makes it impossible to sleep. By the way, in such a noisy environment, they actually charge NT$15 for earplugs.

    Pro: In the city, close to 林百貨, which is a cool converted, vintage-y department store with lots of independent artists/shops. Convenient location. Con: There is no wet and dry separation, not even a shower curtain. Humidity is very high after you take a shower. The room we were given had no sound insulation.
