I chose Swing & Pillows by iBilik @ Seri Kembangan primarily because of its convenient location near Hospital Serdang, opposite UPM, and its affordable rates.
Although advertised as Seri Kembangan, the property is actually located in Desa Serdang, an older neighbourhood.
I stayed for two nights in a double room with shared bathroom facilities, paying just RM107 in total. Interestingly, the sign outside advertised rooms from RM40 per night, making this one of the cheapest accommodation options around.
The room was basic but reasonably clean, with effective air conditioning. Unfortunately, one side of the double mattress had become noticeably soft and uncomfortable, affecting sleep quality.
The property also offers rooms with private bathrooms. Other facilities include an iron, complimentary hot and cold drinking water, and coin-operated washing machines and dryers at additional cost. A self-service laundrette is conveniently located next door.
The shared bathroom was functional and reasonably maintained. However, guests should be prepared for basic facilities rather than hotel-standard comfort.
Overall, this is a practical choice for budget-conscious travellers particularly those visiting Hospital Serdang or UPM.
The location and affordability are its strongest advantages. The surrounding neighbourhood is particularly convenient. There are Chinese and Malay kopitiams, mamak restaurants, 99 Speedmart, KK Mart, 7-Eleven, grocery shops and car repair workshops, all within the vicinity.
