I frequently travel to The Mines for work, and I chose this hotel for a second time, even though the traffic to The Mines isn't particularly convenient. It is relatively clean compared to other hotels in the area, and the rooms are spacious and airy with reasonable price. The surrounding neighborhood offers plenty of dining options, including Chinese, Indian, and Halal cuisine, that stay open from early morning til late night. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process is quick. However, keep in mind that the quoted price does not include the tourism tax. Although I noticed that the facilities had been better maintained compared to my previous visit, there are still some downsides: there is no fridge in the room; the power outlets are local-style (no adapters provided); and there are only two outlets total (including the one used for the TV), so we had to take turns charging our phones. Also, you have to borrow a hairdryer from the front desk and return it after use.
