    I stayed at Sky Palace Hotel in Kannur and was disappointed with the overall experience. The bathroom door was extremely tight and difficult to open. The intercom phone in the room was not working, and no electric kettle was provided. The water pressure was very poor—the shower had only a thin trickle of water, and even the washbasin taps had slow water flow. The complimentary breakfast was also below expectations. There were only two vegetarian dishes and one non-vegetarian option, with very limited variety. Although bread was available, there was no working toaster, so guests had to eat plain bread. Another drawback was the lack of room boys or bell boys to assist guests with luggage or other basic services. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in room maintenance, amenities, water supply, and guest services before it can provide a comfortable stay.

    On the positive side, the hotel is well-maintained and clean, and the food was genuinely good - no complaints there. The property has a decent charm to it and I enjoyed my time within the premises. However, the front office staff left a lot to be desired. The reception team didn't come across as welcoming or warm, and I noticed a certain unfriendliness — particularly from one of the older staff members at the front desk, whose attitude felt a bit rude and unwelcoming. First impressions matter a lot in hospitality, and this was unfortunately not the best one. Also, while the room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was not up to the same standard and needed better upkeep. Overall, Sky Palace has good potential - great food and a clean property are solid foundations. But staff attitude and bathroom hygiene are areas that genuinely need attention. I hope the management takes note and works on improving the guest experience.
