Very pet friendly. Kitchen clean and plenty of cleaning supplies. Beds comfortable. Want to point out the 2 steps going into living room and 2 steps going into downstairs bedroom were a little challenge bleeding into the color of hardwood floors. Also right side railing climbing steps going into home broken. Otherwise we enjoyed the cottage.

We were longtime residents of RVA and relocated and now come back 3-4 times a year to visit friends and family. This is the best short term rental that we have come across. Photos on website were very accurate to what we found in the house, clean, very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and a great location for our needs. (Our old house is less than a mile away) This will be our go to spot for future trips.
