THE PARK AVE. BUILDING: You will love our charming apartments in this classic Mid-Century apartment building. The building is located on Park Ave. (1534) in historic River Forest.
The building has 6 units. All the units have been updated and renovated. In this building we have five 2-bedroom/1bath units and one 1-bedroom/1 bath units. The building is a three level building with 2 units at the garden (lower) level, 2 units on the first (middle) level and 2 units on the 2nd (top) level. Each unit has one dedicated parking space. All of the units have a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Your host (Kevin) owns this property and owns and manages Guest Nest Furnished Stays
THE APARTMENT: This 2-bedroom apartment has been fully renovated with a full kitchen (with dishwasher), bathroom, bedroom, and small eating area. The primary bedroom has a queen bed. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds. This unit has an in-unit washer/dryer.
THE GUEST NEST WAY: We own and manage all our buildings and we manage the Guest Nest Lodging business. We have recently updated and renovated all the apartment units including updated kitchens and bathroom. We supply the apartment with fresh and comfortable bedding and linens. We stock the the kitchen with everything you will need to prepare a meal and to use regularly during a long-term stay. We provide a smart TV (Roku) and high-speed wireless internet. We can periodically provide fresh linens and towels. Guest Nest maintains a management office nearby and we are available to assist you when needed.
THE GUEST NEST PORTFOLIO: Guest Nest Furnished Stays has 37 fully-furnished rentals in Villages of Oak Park, Forest Park, La Grange and River Forest. Each of these historic villages have long been known as great places to live. We have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and a few studio apartments. Each apartment is fully furnished including the kitchen. Each comes with 1 parking space and we can sometimes accommodate a 2nd car. Some of the units have in-unit washer and dryer. Otherwise we have a laundry room in the building. Most of the apartments have a dishwasher. On a case-by-case basis we will allow pets.
Since we only do rentals of 30 nights or longer, these units are priced at our best monthly rate. Generally the furnished studios are $2,250 per month; furnished 1-bedrooms are $2,500; and furnished 2-bedrooms are $2,750. During the summer months (May-September) the prices increase by $250 per month.

The host owns and manages this building which is primarily set up as furnished apartments for extended stay guests. Since we are not a hotel, we are not on-site 24/7. However, we maintain a management office nearby and we are usually available to assist you when needed.
Just 10 miles west of Chicago, River Forest sits along the eastern edge of the Des Plaines River, tucked in just to the west of its better-known neighbor, Oak Park. Notable for its many elegant homes, including a number of classic residences designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, River Forest enjoys some of the highest property values in the Chicago area.
The thick forests that wrap throughout the village’s western boundaries remain. The Forest Preserves of Cook County is headquartered here. Families and children enjoy the beautiful grounds and nature displays of the Trailside Museum of Natural History here. The village is also home to two beautiful and historic campuses: Dominican University and Concordia University Chicago.
River Forest is primarily residential; shopping and dining abound just east in Oak Park and immediately south in Forest Park. The village is easily reached by Metra’s Union Pacific West trains. It’s also a short walk from the Green Line, used by college students commuting to class from the city.
