This 3-bedroom chalet with a bonus loft backs to open space with miles of trails right out the door. It's 1.2 miles from Tahoe Donner Downhill and a short drive to historic downtown Truckee and Donner Lake. Whether you're here for a ski week, a summer on the trails, or a holiday with the whole family, it's set up to make the stay easy.
THE SPACE
✔ Living Area: Vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, and big windows framing the mountain views.
✔ Kitchen: Stainless steel appliances, slate floors, plenty of counter space, and everything you need to cook for a group.
✔ Bedrooms:
Primary suite: California king bed with private bathroom
Bedroom 2: California king bed
Bedroom 3: Queen bed plus bunk beds
Bonus loft: Queen bed, TV, video game console, toys, and children's books
✔ Rec Room: Youth-size pool table that converts to table tennis and air hockey, plus board games.
✔ Outdoors: Two decks with seating.
✔ Gear: Sleds, snowshoes, and a kayak are available for guest use. The garage is available for gear storage, but not for cars.
✔ Parking: Room for 4 vehicles in a fairly flat driveway, which makes a big difference in winter.
✔ High-speed Wi-Fi.
Please note: This is a multi-level home, and stairs are required to access it.
Occupancy: Sleeps 8 under Town of Truckee limits. Children under 13 are not counted, so families with young kids have extra room.
WINTER
Tahoe Donner Downhill is 1.2 miles away. It's a family-friendly, affordable mountain and a great place for kids and beginners. The Tahoe Donner Cross Country Center is 1.9 miles away.

SUMMER & FALL
The home backs to miles of trails for hiking, running, and mountain biking. Donner Lake, 5 miles away, is great for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding, and Lake Tahoe is 20 miles away. Tahoe Donner's golf course, recreation center, and pools are about 2.3 miles away. At 6,650 feet, the home is also a great base for altitude training.
A grocery market and restaurant are 2.5 miles away.
WINTER DRIVING
Truckee is one of the snowiest places in the lower 48. Chains or AWD may be required to reach the property. Snowplow service comes after 4 inches of snow, but it isn't on demand, and we can't guarantee timing. This is standard for the area. Town plows can leave berms at the end of the driveway, so we recommend keeping a snow shovel in your car.
HOUSE RULES
Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am. No events or parties. Please use the bear-proof trash enclosure. Charcoal grills and wood-burning fire pits are not permitted outdoors under Town rules.
