Balaclava Star, luxury 5BR villa with pool by IHR

The villa was clean and well-equipped, which made our stay comfortable. Bedroom and large and the bed and quite comfortable. Kevin, the villa manager, was very responsive and helpful whenever we got in touch. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful (apart from one loud annoying dog next door), and the public beach is just a 5-minute walk away.

The villa didn’t fully match our expectations and some of the pictures— particularly the outdoor space, which was noticeably smaller. One of the bathrooms had a leak, and we had problems with the hot water: it was inconsistent and didn’t work properly in all bathrooms, even after following instructions to turn on all the boilers. The pool and terrace don’t get much sun, so it wasn’t ideal for lounging or enjoying a sunny day. The outdoor area is enclosed by high walls and an electric fence, with very little greenery, which made it feel more closed off and less like a holiday retreat. Finally, even though checkout was at 10am, the manager and cleaner showed up earlier, which made us feel rushed to leave.
