The Heritage Lodge - Geilo

Exceptionnel, très beau chalet, très bien aménagé et décoré. Belle situation avec vue. Bonne détente dans le jacuzzi. On a adoré !

Rien, tout était parfait!

Eigenlijk alles , locatie is perfect , huis is perfect en netjes . Het was super , had eigenlijk langer willen blijven .

Niets alles was prima

Suited our overnight needs perfectly, where we were travelling east to west with overseas guests in summer and wanted to impress with a genuine family cabin experience. The cabin looks out over Geilo ski resort, and the surrounding mountains. There is a generous outdoor space from where we could enjoy the sunset with a drink. The owner was very communicative, and explained ahead that there had been some exterior damage from strong winds a few days before arrival but nothing that would bother us other than a small deviance from the images. Indoors there was plenty of space for our group of 4, with the cabin divided between the main building and an annex. We could have comfortably had 2 extra people, but more than that would have been a squeeze even if it is possible to sleep that many. The interior is beautifully and charmingly furnished. Electricity and running water are not to be taken for granted in this type of accommodation, but this is a real home from home. The small kitchen with dishwasher, as well as shower and indoor toilet, were luxuries that our guests didn’t need to know do not always come as part of the full cabin experience!

All was well. There were instructions about how to check out that could have been clearer, especially exactly where to leave rubbish and how the temperature settings for the panel heaters work. We also had to hunt for bed sheets on arrival, which we found eventually. Otherwise we were very happy. Visitors in summer should be mindful that the area is really set up as a winter resort, but the off-season peacefulness suited us just fine.
