Heart of Athens Stay #6

The apartment seems to have been recently renovated, and you can clearly see that everything inside is new. It was also quite clean, which made the stay very comfortable overall. Communication with the host was excellent — always available for any questions or useful information. The apartment was equipped with everything needed for a relaxed and convenient stay. The location is very practical in terms of reaching the main attractions of the city, as everything is around 10–15 minutes away by metro. There is also a supermarket and a bakery nearby, while the Omonia metro station is only about a 5-minute walk away.

On the other hand, the apartment is located on a very busy street with multiple traffic lanes, so it can get quite noisy even late at night. Also, the area on that side of Omonia Square feels rather neglected — there are many graffiti-covered and abandoned buildings, unpleasant smells in the streets, and quite a few homeless people and drug users around. This was probably the biggest negative impression, although it is not really the host’s fault, but simply the nature of the neighborhood. The good thing is that after just a short 5-minute walk past Omonia Square, the atmosphere changes completely and the city becomes much nicer, especially toward the Acropolis area, where you very quickly reach the real heart of Athens — just like the apartment’s name suggests. Overall, I would still say the price is very reasonable considering how close the apartment is to all the main attractions, but it is definitely located in a messier part of the city.

Estaba muy limpio, era central y la anfitriona estuvo muy atenta en todo momento.

عجبني كلشي فيها فقط غرفه منهم كان علا الشارع وكان صوت سيارات قويه لكن المره الثانيه سوف نحجي غرفه لاتكول علا الشارع

Pochissime stoviglie Nessun detersivo Mancava il tostapane Abbiamo dovuto comprare praticamente tutto. Per non parlare del palazzo,fatiscente e sporchissimo. Il quartiere,lo abbiamo scoperto dopo, era il più mafamato di Atene. Zona di protezione e spaccio. Pieno di barboni e tossici. In giro poco polizia
