The host was very kind and the place was really well located and had a nice homey feel

The stairs are a little dangerous especially for those who are a little taller but apart from that it was a very comfortable stay

Location, was good! Less than a mile to the Asakusa station and the Ginza line, which connects to 60% of the places we needed to go. Comfy beds and good plump pillows. Close to one of Tokyo's most popular Temples and the large tourist oriented shopping area next to that in Asakusa. All the things you might need. T-shirts, knickknacks, a spare suitcase!? Plenty of great little local restaurants and a good grocery store about 100 yards up the street!

The things I didn't like? Well, it's an older house and seems to not be occupied consistently. As a result, it can feel a bit musty or stuffy. The trick I think is to go upstairs, in the front room there's a large window. Open that window for 15 or 20 minutes when you first get there and then before bed every night and you'll have few problems. The owner seems really concerned about noise! I'm guessing he's had problems in the past? But, any noise we experienced was primarily from the road/traffic noise! Again, that front bedroom window comes into play. Make sure both glass panels are closed and the much appreciated "blackout" curtain. It would be nice if there was a toilet upstairs! My old knees on those old stairs at night were hard to a challenge. 🤣
