The rooms are very nice, spacious, and the private onsen was amazing. It is surrounded by beautiful green mountains. The employees are extremely nice, helpful, and speak English. Loved our stay here.
The only negative thing I can say is the location. It’s a bit out of the way and it’s hard to get to by foot. The employees, however, are very nice and frequently offered to drive us to town, the bus stop, etc. This made the location much more enjoyable for us.

I like very much my stay in Hakonesaryo Kintoki, I had the whole wall window in my room and I slept surrounded by nature, and my mornings were amazing. Also I was lucky to have the hotel public onsen all for me alone, which was a very peaceful moment. The buses in the area go very good, on schedule, so you can reach easily all attractions. Close to the ryokan there is a path to mount Kintoki, from where you could have a nice view of mt. Fuji (if you are lucky with the weather), just be aware of wild boars (I met them twice in 5 min walk) and bears. Also hostess Lou is very nice and friendly, I appreciated out chat very much !
All was good, no complaints!
