    Interesting experience in the heart of the Hakone hot spring resorts. Ask for breakfast to be included and you can watch how they eat bbq for breakfast.

    It was our first time experiencing an onsen and public bath. It was a good experience. We went at 11pm and it was empty then just 1-2 pax came in after. They even had an outdoor onsen which was a good experience in the spring weather. The hotel is in a park with prominent signage. The Hakone-Tozan bus stops right outside the sign so it's a straightforward walk in. We booked for the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Both were good experiences. The food and service for dinner was exceptional although it was in a common dining area. Yet, we felt we had the privacy we needed. Breakfast spread was impressive, with a mix of Japanese and continental options. I would highly recommend it.

    The room is spacious and clean. The public onzen with indoor and outdoor parts are very nice. The Kaisei dinner and buffet breakfast are very delicious.

    Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and clean. However, the public area of the hotel felt a bit dated and there wasn’t much entertainment beyond the hot spring. I was slightly disappointed with the meals. The dinner on the first night was good. However, the second night’s dinner was disappointing. The portion sizes were smaller, we were seated in a different room for dinner which was quite full and the tables were closed. Even worse, there was no beef served either night. Furthermore, the same dishes were offered for breakfast the next two mornings. Overall, it was a good deal.
