The house is spacious, clean and located in a quiet area, making it a good base for exploring Öland. The kitchen is well equipped and there is free parking.

Considering the price we paid (comparable to a 4-star hotel in a high tourist destination), we expected a much higher level of comfort. The house gets very warm during the day and there is no air conditioning or effective ventilation. The two upstairs bedrooms are essentially small sleeping cabins, each containing only a single bed and no other furniture; they offer very limited comfort and become uncomfortably hot during warm weather. The lighting upstairs is insufficient. The staircase is very steep and has no handrail, which could present a serious safety risk, especially when going downstairs to the bathroom at night. There is no night light, making it even more difficult to use safely. TV is useless for guests as it has no TV channels. Finally, the lighting controls are far from intuitive. It took us quite a while to figure out which switches controlled which lights, and after reading comments online, it seems we were not the only guests who experienced this. Communication could also be improved. Although English is listed on Booking.com, all replies were in Swedish, and responses were often delayed. We had to send several Booking messages, emails and even make phone calls before finally receiving the access code, which arrived well after the official check-in time. Fortunately, we were delayed on our journey and reached the property a few hours later, otherwise we would have been left waiting outside.

en liten detalj bara. Jag är så oteknisk så jag hade svårt att förstå hur man tände lampor och justerade värmen. Men det gick bra ändå.

Maison très agréable, spacieuse et moderne avec de nombreux équipements, notamment la cuisine, le lave-vaisselle, le lave-linge et le sèche-linge, très appréciables, une jolie décoration, supermarché à proximité, pas loin du centre ville et des différents points touristiques

2 petits bémols : - Nous avons mis du temps à comprendre comment fonctionnaient les interrupteurs correspondants aux différentes et nombreuses lumières - Ayant le vertige, 2 d'entre nous sur 4 n'avons pu se rendre à l'étage (escalier ouvert et plexi au sol) Il serait bien de laisser une note sur le mode de fonctionnement électrique dans la maison, et de préciser l'architecture de l'étage dans le descriptif de la maison

this stand alone house was really beautifully designed. Lovely interior elements. and literally everything there that one needs for a comfortable stay. very helpful hosts that helped us locate the key eventually.
