Sunlay Cottage

The house and location are great. You can hear the birds and animals and it’s super relaxing , forest all around. The beach is very close too so it’s great for walks. The house has everything you need and it’s cozy.

There were some disappointing issues but we discussed them with the host , hopefully she fixes them.

Ļoti jauka vieta un saimniece! Namiņš bija ļoti gaumīgs un omulīgs, viss nepieciešamais un pat vairāk bija atrodams namiņā. Fantastiska, klusa vieta, esam ļoti apmierināti un ļoti labprāt atgrieztos, paldies!

This house is absolutely wonderful and it has everything you need. Sarmite is also a very kind, friendly and helpful person! We enjoyed it so much.

The house itself is very nice and perfect for a family holiday.

Our experience was spoiled by the host’s attitude. After the free cancellation period had expired, she informed us that we had to pay an extra €50 per day to use the hot tub, although this was not mentioned in the listing. After I complained, she agreed to waive the extra charge. Less than an hour before check-in, when we had already arrived in Latvia, the host informed us that the bubbles in the hot tub were not working. During the discussion, she unexpectedly started writing that she had raised three children and did not understand my complaints. After the technician’s visit, some of the jets worked, but not all of them. There was also a power outage on our first morning, so we could only prepare breakfast and coffee after three hours. Only one coffee filter was provided, and there were not enough outdoor towels.
