Ayubowan Nature Cottage

This is an ideal location to stay while visiting the sights of Sigiriya. The cabins were very clean and comfortable and quite private. The staff were extremely excellent and helped us so the tours, dinners and everything else. Breakfasts were very tasty too.. And the hotel driver or a little cal van driver can take you out to eat. Also, the pool area was great for relaxing. We also saw a number of birds on the property including some colourful kingfishers and woodpeckers.

They can't sell drinks so you might like to stick up at a wine shop before you arrive. There is a fridge in each room.

Wat een fantastisch verblijf met fantastische mensen! De locatie is super, midden in de natuur. Een prachtige kamer met mooie buitenbadkamer en een lekker zwembad op het terrein. Wat alles nog beter maakte was het personeel. Zij hielpen ons met alles. Lieve Jayanthe, dank je wel voor de gezellige praatjes, jouw belangstelling, tips en adviezen en hulp bij alles. Lieve Kavi, dank je wel voor al jouw hulp, het heerlijke eten en altijd jouw lach en vriendelijkheid. Ook dank aan de chauffeur die ons veilig heeft gereden naar verschillende plaatsen. Whilst the location was very rural, surrounded by nature and varied wildlife it was within easy reach of the areas main sights. Access to the accommodations driver snd car was helpful. Outdoor bathrooms were great! Rooms were clean and the swimming pool was immaculate. Very attentive staff team. Evening meals and breakfast were very tasty. Elephant safari was with a local father/ son guide (we had the son) was excellent.

The spare / single bed is too small for a teenager/ adult. We also felt on occasion there was an expectation to do the standard tourist agenda eg village tour.

Die kleinen Cottages sind sehr gemütlich. Man ist direkt im Grünen.

Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit, mir persönlich war es manchmal etwas zu viel. Das macht den Aufenthalt allerdings nicht schlechter. Wer gerne abends noch unterwegs ist und was essen möchte ausserhalb, ist hier eher schlecht untergebracht, da die Unterkunft „ausserhalb“ liegt und die Strasse dorthin nachts sehr gefährlich sein kann (Elefanten) und es mitunter schwer werden kann einen Fahrer zu finden
