This review is only about the service we encountered as this was an incomplete stay. Allow me to explain....
We received a message from the guesthouse just before we were due to arrive informing us the water pump was broken. Our room was still available for check in at a discounted rate, or we could cancel our booking. Our choice was to cancel the booking.
Still, we decided to go to the guesthouse and see the room we had booked just in case we decided to stay again in the future. The room looked clean and comfortable - it was just a shame our stay would've been compromised by an unfortunate but completely understandable maintenance situation.
We appreciated how accommodating staff were due to this situation.
