Bellflower Cottage

The location was ideal for exploring Windermere, with easy access to the buses and train station, which made getting around very convenient. We found it to be very quiet and comfortable. The cottage was well equipped and nicely presented.

We felt there were a few areas where a little more attention to detail would have made our stay even better. The kettle was broken, as was the main kitchen bin, which was a little inconvenient. We would also recommend providing a bath mat, as the bath was incredibly slippery when standing to have a shower and we felt this could be a safety concern. The bath was also very high for anyone who may not be particularly agile.

No cushions for the outdoors seats.

It was very central to all shops, cafes and bars. It was spotless and very comfortable.

Garden could have done with tidy up but to be honest, we were out and about so much we didn’t use it much.

Location was good, the kitchen was very well stocked . Very clean

It was cold. It would have been nice if a few logs were in the house for us to light the log burner The bedroom on the first floor was icy. Completly inadequate heating with 1 small radiator. The bedding was clearly the same as that used in the summer- very thin duvets. There needs to be extra blankets available.
