Ilissos Terrace Apartment

The host was great and responded quickly. The apartment was big with a large kitchen fully stocked with everything you could want. The terrace was a bonus. It was a 15 minute walk to the old town and just down the street from the main streets with supermarkets and restaurants. Parking was tricky, in the basement in a container, but we were given a video that helped a lot.

Un apartamento funcional, limpio, agradable y cómodo para, en nuestro caso, 4 personas. Una ubicación muy buena, ya que no necesitas coger ningún tipo de transporte para visitar todas las zonas turísticas de Atenas pero a la vez, es un barrio tranquilo con suficientes servicios para tener una buena estancia. Disfruta de la noche en su fantástica terraza delantera y busca la sorpresa que se oculta tras los edificios cuando salgas al balcón trasero. Agradecer a la empresa que lo gestiona, su amabilidad para guardarnos las maletas una vez hecho el check out, ya que nuestro vuelo salía por la noche.

No se puede decir que no nos gustó, pero si hubiese que mejorar algo de este apartamento sería el baño. La puerta resultaba algo ruidosa por la noche y cerraba regular y la bañera es algo incómoda, especialmente para personas altas. Sería buena idea cambiarla por una ducha. Respecto al edificio en el que se encuentra, indicar que tiene algunas escaleras en el portal hasta acceder al pequeño ascensor que tiene. En cualquier caso, nada importante para desmerecer al apartamento, que es magnifico.

The apartment is downtown, but on the other side of the Acropolis from Monastiraki, so it's not so touristic. The location was great for the Acropolis Museum, Temple of Zeus, Olympic Stadium and National Gardens. The apartment was nicely furnished and comfortable. The terrace was great for hanging out after a day of sightseeing.

The entrance to the building is not so easy for elderly travellers to access (stairs). On the terrace there is some traffic noise from the large road nearby, but it's to be expected in such a busy city (though inside the apartment it is not so noticeable).
