The room is wonderful once you get up the stairs. It's actually a studio apartment, and the "kitchenette" is contained in a cabinet. The kitchenette includes a 2-burner hob/range and a small sink, plus a fridge underneath. It was enough to make some coffee and reheat leftovers, which was great. The room has a balcony and overlooking a parking lot and lots of other similar buildings, which was just fine. (For what I paid, I didn't expect an ocean view.) The best part of the balcony doors was that fly screens were installed so I could leave the glass doors open at night and have some air flowing into the room. The location is good, being near the water yet about 1 KM from the train station. There's a restaurant ("Coquette") about a block away with outside seating, great and affordable food, and live jazz starting at about 20:00 some nights.

If you're afraid of heights, you will not like the open metal stairs above level 1, but the stairs were secure enough. They're also loud, but I think our room was the only one occupied so I rarely heard anyone else. This is good because I would have woken them up climbing the stairs at night. The hallway has a greenhouse top and one can't open the only window from the stair landing, so the hallway heats up dramatically. The stairwell from level 0 to level 1 is very narrow. Because it's a new renovation, the outer door sticks, so after you put in the door code, you have to pull and then push the door open. The same is true with the lockbox containing the key; it's new, so you have to push in the door and then pull it open or it won't work. The host responded immediately via WhatsApp, but I had to figure out the solution. (But now she'll know this for next time someone contacts her about it.) The alley below is dark at night and dusty. A dog pooped right outside the door on the first night and no one picked it up for two days. The parking lot noise out the balcony door is noticeable but not intrusive. (I know the owner does not control the local dogs or noise!)

Sehr schönes Appartement, praktisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, bequemes Bett, Blumen auf dem Balkon, Mückennetze an den Fenstern, zentrale Lage - nah zum Hafen und zur Altstadt, unkomplizierter Check-In mit Schlüsselbox und netter Kontakt zur Vermieterin. Wir würden sehr gerne wiederkommen!!

Apartman je na trećem spratu, a nema lifta.Može biti problem za nekog ko se teže kreće ili nosi težak kofer.
