Chalet Kurung Tengar

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The location is exceptional—right by the beach and beside a traditional Malay kampung—offering a rare sense of peace and authenticity. We especially enjoyed using the complimentary bicycles to ride into the village; it was a lovely way to explore the surroundings at an unhurried pace. The chalet is an ideal place to relax, seemingly the only accommodation of its kind in the area, which makes the experience feel particularly private and tranquil. There are also several good options for lunch or dinner within about a five-minute drive. Although the property is newly opened, the team clearly work very hard to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Their genuine effort and warm hospitality made our stay all the more memorable.

A few practical details could be improved. The bathroom has no mirror, which makes everyday routines such as brushing one’s teeth rather less convenient. The toilet and water system would also benefit from some refinement. The shower provided pleasantly hot water, which was much appreciated, although its operation was not immediately intuitive and may require clearer instructions for guests. Parking is possible close to the chalet, but the available space is quite tight; otherwise, guests will need to park outside the property.

It was a serene place, a great place for family getaway. A little bit far from the city, but it was near to jetty. There are a lot of reasonable and tasty seafood restaurants. The resort also had bike rentals which my mom really enjoyed it.
