Mr Jiang, a native of Matsu Islands, was an excellent host In the 3 months leading up to our trip, he answered my many questions and provided very helpful tips. He picked us up at the airport with a translator Janet who was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Jiang and Janet drive us all over the island of Nangan, showing us all of the fascinating things about Matsu. Highlights included visits to a tunnel where they age rice wine, a local delicacy, several strongholds, the Mazu statue (of course), several beaches on the island, delicious restaurants, and the best thing at the end of the trip was visiting the Thirn Birds Bookstore and Cafe, with its gorgeous views and amazing artwork by the café's founder. We had coffee there with Jiang's mother, who has a long history on Nangan and Matsu. The accommodations were just like in the pictures, clean and modern, in an older house that has been renovated by Jiang's family. Another highlight was seeing star sand on the nearby beach. We took a ferry to Juguang, another Matsu Island. That was a very nice day trip, and Jiang arranged a car for us there, which is a must. It was a beatiful day for a 50 minute cruise in the Taiwan Strait. This was our first time in Asia, and Jiang's place is where we chose to spend the first two nights. We hit a bullseye with Jiang's 牛角一邊厝 guesthouse! Do not hesitate. Book this place, which has only 3 guestrooms. We will be back for sure! Next time, dunlring the season for Blue Tears.

It is hard to find a downside here. Everything was great! No regrets at all. I was worried that tge bed might not be comfortable, but everything was super nice.

This Homestay was great. The owner was very helpful--picked us at the airpot, and had an English interpreter with him. Room was very comfy--and the bathroom was great. Would stay here again!

民宿老闆姜哥非常貼心，啟程前就先電話詢問是否需要接駁，以及是否需要代訂汽機車，剛好我們都想說到當地再想辦法，姜哥直接幫我們解決問題！ 中間遇到颱風飛機和船班都停駛，部份景點也因此關閉，姜哥會很貼心告知訊息，並建議其他室內景點，整體照顧相當無微不至，第一次遇到這麼窩心的民宿老闆，非常推薦👍
