Family Escape - Garden, Parking, Pet friendly

Absolutely stunning place that provided a great venue for a family holiday. Plenty of room and lots of facilities to make this a home-from-home. The location is also brilliant: Salcombe is a short walk away, and there's plenty to visit slightly further afield too.

The house could've done with a good clean as it was very dusty and a bit grubby in places.

Lovely property. Beautiful views. Very spacious. Great location out of town with good parking and nice and peaceful. Beautiful garden. We did not really use kitchen facilities as we ate out but looks like it has everything you might need, well stocked with utensils. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Prior to booking staff were very helpful in answering my queries.

We loved everything. May not be as good for people with mobility issues due to location and steps but was perfect for us.

Location - close proximity to Salcombe town and beach

The general cleanliness of the property could have been better. It felt like it just had a basic clean and not a deep clean. Lots of dust and cobwebs. Rugs in living room were not cleaned from previous guests including lots of dog hairs Used wine glass found in chest of drawers in bedroom. We were unable to use the stair gate at the top of the stairs as you could not attach it to a flat surface just a round staircase spindle leaving it very unsafe for our 16month old child I approached the hosts and asked where the outside parasol was located. Unfortunately they were not very helpful. They weren’t sure and so they asked the caretakers who didn’t know either and came back to me saying maybe the owners knew but then there was no follow up leaving some members of my family not able to sit outside. The property was very noisy. It’s Upside down living with floorboards upstairs and no sound proofing. From downstairs in the bedrooms you could hear every footstep, noise etc that was made upstairs making sleep/rest very difficult. WiFi connection is also poor at this property.
