Charmant T3 ,100m2, centre ville, classé 3 étoiles

The location is extremely convenient, right in the centre with plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars nearby. Aix-les-Bains is a beautiful town, perfectly positioned between Lac du Bourget and Mont Revard, so there is plenty to do if you enjoy the outdoors as well as the town itself. The apartment was clean, spacious and had plenty of French charm. The main bedroom and twin bedroom were both comfortable, with plenty of storage and space. The living/dining area was particularly nice, with a lovely view towards the mountains. Joseph was an excellent and very responsive host. We had an issue with the shower head and he arranged for it to be replaced almost immediately. Whenever we needed anything, he was helpful and easy to contact.

We stayed during a heatwave, so the lack of air conditioning made the apartment quite hot, although we understand that installing air conditioning may be difficult because of the historic/listed nature of the building. Being in such a central location also means some nighttime noise. There is an outdoor concert area nearby and during the summer people can stay outside quite late. It was never aggressive or concerning, but light sleepers should be aware of it. Parking nearby can also be expensive and spaces limited, although the station car park is less than a five-minute walk away and was around €18 for 24 hours. Some parking is free over the weekend. The historic building has lots of character, but the communal areas could benefit from a little updating and some of the management notices displayed around the building detract slightly from its charm. The sofa is also not particularly comfortable for an adult to sleep on.
