The perfect cottage - so clean, comfy and cosy. A wonderful location for a fly fishing weekend on the River Eden. We’ll hopefully be back.

The cottage was very hot and unfortunately we couldn’t work out how to control the heating /thermostat. The instructions weren’t very clear. Other than that it was perfect.

Property was bigger than we expected and had pretty much all the things you would need for a stay. The host was very helpful and prompt when we contacted them. Lovely sitting area in garden. Wonderful bath Really comfy settees, nearly went to sleep on them!

We had to ask for more toiletries as there were 4 of us and only 1 tiny bottle of shampoo and body wash. No general towel in the downstairs bathroom so you end up dripping upstairs to your own towel to dry your hands. A clock (we are old fashioned) would've been useful in the living area.

Beautiful newly renovated cottage. There was plenty of space for our group of 5 adults and I loved how sociable the open kitchen and lounge was. The kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed the garden in the evenings. The electric fire was great too!

The only downside was that there was only one shower. The roll top bath is beautiful but not very practical when you have 5 adults who all want to get up and out early for outdoor activities. The fridge is also quite small for 5 people when you have done an online shop for the entire weekend (as there are no shops very nearby). Would also recommend adding a bigger fridge or even a small drinks fridge in the kitchen or utility room to give more space.
