Stylish Open Plan Guest House 400sq ft Rutland

The property was very nice and very comfortable. Victoria and James were great hosts, they even left us some cake, milk, butter, juice and chilled water. There are a load of things in the property to make your stay easier which included tea bags coffee sugar etc.

The only problem which has nothing to do with the hosts or the property is the location which is close to the A1M and if you’re a light sleeper the noise may affect your night’s sleep.

Self-contained, everything you could possibly need, lovely quiet location, easy to find with good accessibility to all local amenities, very secure and quiet.

The location to Oakham is great, short drive in the morning. There are also some great places to walk the dogs on your doorstep a short drive away.

The property is very close to the A1(M) and thus there is traffic noise 24 hrs a day. They do however provide ear plugs if you want to block out the background rumble. The property shows up as Pets Allowed in booking.com but says nothing about how many pets are allowed which I always look for, in one of the messages from the hosts which I had not read it says only 1 is allowed which which seems a bit late in the process after payments have been made. Fortuantely as we have well trained competing dogs they allowed us to stay with more than 1 but this could have ruined the whole stay.

Has everything you need including a well equipped kitchen and spacious shower. The host gives a fantastic personal welcome, and has some provisions already there for you such as fresh fruit, tea, coffee, eggs and home made cake.

Suffers a bit from road noise.
