Charnwood Forest by Wigwam Holidays

We had such a wonderful two-night stay at Charnwood Forest Wigwams. The wigwam was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. We especially loved the private hot tub, which was perfectly positioned so you could relax without feeling overlooked. The outdoor pergola was another favourite spot – it was lovely to sit under the stars in the evening and simply unwind. The whole site is so peaceful, and after just two nights we both felt completely rested and refreshed. It’s clear that Clare and Steve have put so much thought, care and attention into the layout of the site to make it feel welcoming and private. They were fantastic hosts – so kind, friendly and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike. We had planned to cook over the fire pit, but quickly realised our fire-cooking skills weren’t quite up to scratch! We ended up laughing at ourselves and cooking on the hob instead, so that was definitely down to us rather than the facilities. If we had one small suggestion, it would be a little more storage space for bags and perhaps a few extra hooks to hang coats or towels. That said, we completely appreciate that space is limited in a wigwam, and it certainly didn’t take away from what was a fantastic stay.

The toilet was not properly cleaned and appeared to have been used. The towels also had an unpleasant smell and should be replaced.

Location was brilliant, layout was brilliant, each place was hidden by trees so you don't see them, Great facilities, owners are really nice, lots of wildlife, good parking, clean,comfy and peaceful. Loved it!
