Beachfront Villa with a View of the Castle—15 min from Amsterdam, Sleeps 7

An entire villa on the water in Muiden, 15 minutes from Amsterdam. From the balcony, you can see Muiderslot Castle, the IJmeer, and Fort Pampus, and the garden extends all the way down to the waterfront. Space for two families: up to 4 adults and 7 people total.

THE SPACE
The entire villa is yours. Four bedrooms spread across two floors (three upstairs, one on the first floor), two bathrooms and two separate toilets, a living room, a garden room, and a balcony overlooking the water. There are two kitchens, one on each floor, so a large group never has to wait in line for breakfast. The main kitchen features a steam oven, microwave, and two dishwashers. Underfloor heating throughout, Wi-Fi, TV, washer, and dryer.

OUTSIDE
A large backyard with a trampoline and two swings, plus an “overtuin” —a second garden right at the water’s edge. Outdoor furniture on the balcony and on the lawn, with a large umbrella for hot days. We provide a bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) for you: the easiest way to get to the beach, the supermarket, or the playground with kids on board. Parking is free at the house.

THE BEDS
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed and bedroom 4 has a queen-size bed. Bedroom 2 has a single bed measuring 120 x 180 cm. Bedroom 3 has two built-in Dutch alcove beds (bedstee) that are 160 cm long, so they are better suited for children than adults. A folding travel cot is available upon request. Bed linens are provided.

THE AREA
Muiden is just a short walk away: supermarkets, restaurants, the beach, a skate park, and playgrounds. Amsterdam is 15 minutes away by car or taxi and 30 minutes by public transportation. Muiderslot Castle and Fort Pampus are right nearby, and the IJmeer is right in front of the house.

GOOD TO KNOW

Check-in is self-service via a key safe starting at 3:00 PM; check-out is before 12:00 PM. We’re located on a quiet residential street with neighbors nearby, so this is a family home rather than a party house: no parties or events allowed.
