Gated Community - "Windwood Coves is one of the most desirable communities on Lake Anna. Established in the 1980's, we are centrally located near shopping and the Route 208 bridge. Our community of 262 properties offers access to the water, an assigned boat slip for members not on waterfront, a beautiful private beach, tennis court, basketball court, boat ramp, and three pavilions.
Our community takes great pride in providing a friendly, safe, and secure neighborhood for both your family to call home. We offer a secured entrance gate with a team gatehouse personnel." [from the WWC website]

We recently took over this amazing home from our dear friends, Kim and Andrew, and we are committed to exceeding your expectations during your stay. if there's anything we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to reach out.
This home has a full kitchen with an adjoining dining area, including a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, oven, stovetop, dishes, utensils, and other conveniences. The master suite features a queen-size bed, and has its own bathroom with both a shower and bathtub, as well as a walk-in closet. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, and has direct access to a bathroom. The kids' bedroom includes a double bed and a twin bed. And, the newly added garage bedroom includes a Queen bed with a full bathroom (stand up shower). There is also a back porch with seating and an outdoor dining area. Washer and dryer are included.
Located in the gated community of Windwood Coves, there is easy access to Lake Anna and the surrounding attractions. You will also have access to a private boat slip, the beach common area, which features pavilions, tennis and volleyball courts, a playground, and storage for kayaks.
There is parking at the neighborhood private beach, playground and public areas. Please be sure to have your guest pass in your car at all times.
Inquire with the host after your rental has been confirmed for the boat slip number.
Check-in procedure:
Because Windwood Coves is a gated neighborhood, there are some extra details to be mindful of. When you first arrive, it must be during gatehouse hours, so you can receive a guest pass. Without a guest pass, your vehicle will be towed. There is also an $85 replacement fee if the pass is lost.
Gatehouse Hours:
7am-6pm Monday-Thursday
7am-9pm Friday
8am-8pm Saturday
Closed on Sunday
If you need to check in outside of these hours, please connect with us beforehand (check-in can be no later than 9 pm).

The host was welcoming and quick to respond to my questions. The rental property was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and kitchen tools.

This was a great location for our first time to Lake Anna. There were many restaurants to choose from close by, and we chartered a boat cruise (Sunshine Swan) at the nearby marina. The hot tub was wonderful. There were 3 adults, and we all had our own room and bathroom. Super quiet neighborhood, and the hosts were great communicators. Would stay there again.

Communication with the host was spotty in the 9 months leading to our trip with some messages gone unanswered. Payment system was a mess but we were offered a discount for our troubles which was nice. The shower head in the primary bathroom was rusted, leaking and broken so we couldn't use it during our stay. Host came and offered to fix it, but wasn't a huge deal as there were 2 other showers and it would take a while to fix and dry out wall. The shower in the garage conversion is a raw concrete floor so I thought I was showering in the garage itself. I would recommend sealing or staining it. The rest of the house was good. Candy canes on the beds were a nice touch for the holidays. The house was super clean otherwise and short drive to lake. There is a fire pit in the backyard that is not mentioned in the listing so bring some wood. Hot tub was nice. Host was super responsive during our stay.
