About this cottage rental
Come stay at the charming and lovingly furnished thatched-roof country house Wiemershörn. Enjoy the romantic and relaxing atmosphere of the house, which features 150 square meters of living space and a 2,000-square-meter lot. Completely renovated in 2020, re-thatched in 2023, and furnished to a high standard, it offers ample space for up to six people. Enjoy the secluded location on the outskirts of a village, surrounded by meadows and fields, with the nearest neighbor more than 100 meters away.
Wiemershörn is centrally located in East Frisia, about 10 km northwest of Aurich and approximately five kilometers from the Großes Meer recreational area. The North Sea coast is about a 30-minute drive away.
Note: Starting April 1, 2026, the municipality of Südbrookmerland will charge a 3% overnight stay tax on the total price. This amount is to be paid directly to the property owner.
Wiemershörn Thatched-Roof Country House:
Spanning two floors, the vacation home offers a full range of amenities for a comfortable stay. The upper floor features three bedrooms with double beds of varying sizes (1.40 x 2.00 m, 1.60 x 2.00 m, and 1.80 x 2.00 m), and duvets, sheets, and towels are included in the price. The spacious bathroom features a large bathtub, a separate rain shower, a sink, a toilet, and a hair dryer. A room with a desk and a balcony rounds out the amenities on the upper floor.
On the lower level, you’ll find a spacious entryway (approx. 17 m²), a guest restroom, and an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area (approx. 50 m²). This area is furnished with a dining table and seating for six people, a cozy sofa, a smart TV with a Blu-ray player, and a Bluetooth speaker. Books for reading are also available. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, an induction cooktop, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a washing machine, a drying rack, an iron, and an ironing board.
The patio invites you to relax with two lounge chairs, patio furniture for six people, and a parasol. The large garden (approx. 2,000 m², including 800 m² of lawn and 250 m² of cottage garden) offers additional seating on two garden benches and a hammock.
Wi-Fi is available via an LTE router, though internet speed may vary depending on the time of day. For safety reasons, the vacation home is a smoke-free property, and due to the thatched roof, open fires, barbecuing, and smoking are strictly prohibited both inside the house and on the patio. Pets are not allowed.
Note: The vacation home is located in a rural setting with adjacent pastures where animals may graze. Seasonal noise or odors from agricultural activities may occur. There is an apiary at the edge of the property, approximately 40 meters from the terrace. Approach at your own risk.
Check-in is from 3:00 to 20:00, and check-out is from 07:00 to 10:00.
