Rest Up London - Hostel

Clean room with my own shower and a huge window to open. I think this property has so much potential but it’s lacking the right management and amenities. hostels should provide towels and free breakfast as we are struggling young adults trying to stay somewhere safe and clean. I was very happy with the room though so I’d like to stay again.

Great check-in, staff were super friendly and helpful with what was around. Room was nice and suited me for a short break. Be aware it is stairs to get to the upper floor rooms

Great value for money – basic, but has what you need Don’t expect any luxury. The room was very small, almost like a little prison cell 😅 There was no wardrobe, storage space or even a glass for drinking water. We also didn’t receive any towels. But for the price we paid, the important things were there: a clean private bathroom with shower and toilet, very clean white bedsheets that smelled fresh, good Wi-Fi, a decent breakfast buffet and, most importantly during the very hot days, a fan that was incredibly helpful. The location was excellent. There’s a bus stop right outside, restaurants and shops across the street, and Elephant & Castle is around a 10-minute walk away, giving you easy connections to the rest of London. There are also direct buses towards London Bridge and central areas. It’s more of a hostel than a hotel, with lots of young travellers, but we actually enjoyed that – it was lively and gave the place a real travelling atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and there’s also a café and vending machines downstairs. Overall, everything is basic and average – but for a budget stay in London, it was excellent value for money. Great location, private bathroom, breakfast, Wi-Fi, clean bedding and friendly staff. For the low price we paid, I really couldn’t ask for much more. I give it 10/10
