This house was faultless! From the perfect communication with Guiseppe to the location, the cleanliness, the facilities… it could not have been better. We were family of three (2adults and 1 teenager) & it was ideal. Recently renovated and perfectly located just a two min walk to the main piazza.

Nothing to dislike

Located in the heart of L'Aquila, Casa Spartaco places guests within easy reach of the city's historic architecture, piazzas, and cultural life, all explorable on foot. An outstanding base for the wider Abruzzo region: the medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, the fortress of Rocca Calascio, and the vast highland plateau of Campo Imperatore are all within easy reach and well worth the drive. A two-bedroom private home with two double beds, offering genuine space and independence — spacious and comfortable throughout, with the exception of the second bedroom, which is notably smaller. Both bedrooms are on the second floor. Worth bearing in mind for guests with heavy luggage or reduced mobility. Well equipped modern kitchen with oven, fridge and dishwasher — everything needed for comfortable self-catering. Having both a washing machine and a dishwasher, complete with detergent for both, is a real asset for long-stay travellers — one of those practical combinations that makes daily life considerably easier. Every room has its own television, and the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable — a genuine plus for those working remotely or travelling for an extended period. The host provides a parking permit that allows guests to park directly in front of the accommodation when a space is available — a thoughtful arrangement that at least removes the cost concern and gives a first option on arrival (but it was not initially informed)

Parking is the one logistical challenge. The permit provided by the host covers a public street space directly in front of the building, but availability is not guaranteed — the spot is shared with other street users and can be taken. Free public parking is also available nearby, though equally subject to availability. Guests arriving by car should be prepared to be flexible. The air conditioning duct in the bedroom allows light to filter through in the morning, which can disturb sleep. A simple fix — covering the duct with a small blanket or dark cloth — resolves the issue, but it is something the host could easily address as a permanent solution. The second bedroom is small — noticeably so compared to the main room, and worth bearing in mind when booking for two couples or guests who value equal comfort across both rooms. The shower box is very compact — restrictive for daily use and an aspect that stands out given the otherwise generous proportions of the apartment. No wine glasses anywhere in the apartment. In an Italian home, in a city with a proud food and wine culture, this is a puzzling omission that is very easy to remedy. The clothes drying rack provided is on the small side. A larger indoor drying option would be a welcome improvement, particularly for guests on extended stays who do laundry regularly.

Appartamento nuovo e pulito, dotato di tutti i comfort. Zona tranquilla e silenziosa. Posizione centralissima, ottima per muoversi a piedi. L'host è stato molto disponibile e accogliente.

Location veramente carina, vicina al centro, ben arredata, recentemente ristrutturata e con tutti i comfort necessari. Ottimo avere le persiane totalomente oscuranti in camera da letto. Proprietario molto ricettivo nel rispondere a qualsiasi richiesta e attento alla buona qualità del soggiorno, sotto vari punti di vista (riscaldamento, coperte aggiuntive, check-in, regalo di benvenuto, etc.).
