Koahome

It was private and quiet. If like me you prefer to stay away from big resorts and crowds, Koahome is the perfect place for your stay I’m Miyakojima. The island itself is quite small and you can access all the beaches and restaurants from Koahome. The house is very well divided with a well lit up ample living room connected to the open kitchen with all the modern utilities you can think of. The bedroom and bathroom area were super comfortable also with all amenities and even some local extras. Atsushi and Mayo, the owners took great care of us and even treated us to morning coffee made with newly roasted coffee from their high end coffee machine！ Atsushi is also a local guide and took us to three different spots on the island for our snorkeling adventure. Added to turtle spotting, the coral reef that he took us to with hundreds of tropical fish swimming all around us was truly one of my best experiences. Truly amazing！ They really are super hosts with a great place to share with their guests. Highly recommend a stay here.

Välutrustat boende med sköna sängar. Mycket bra läge med gångavstånd till den vackra Sunyayama beach. Möjligheten att låna bil vilket är nödvändigt för att ta sig runt på ön. Fantastiskt trevliga värdar som kom med många bra tips och tog med oss på sightseeing på ön.

We had a wonderful four nights at Koahome and were very grateful for the warm hospitality of Atsushi and Mayu. The guesthouse was conveniently located in a quiet environment. The rooms were modern, comfortable, cozy, well-equipped, and clean. The mattresses were very comfortable. The sofas were also very comfortable, which is especially important on Miyako Island, as we might stay in the guesthouse all day due to strong winds or sudden typhoons. We particularly loved their kitchen design, which was very thoughtful, with all kinds of seasonings readily available. The washing machine had an automatic detergent dispenser, which was very convenient. The dryer worked well, and there were plenty of hangers. Upon arrival at Shimoji Airport, Atsushi personally picked us up and then took us to some hidden gems on Miyako Island, which was well worth the trip and very touching. We also participated in a snorkeling lesson organized by Atsushi, which started from the guesthouse and ended with a drop-off, a fantastic experience. They also provide wetsuits if the weather permits. We were thrilled to see so many sea turtles – it was truly an unforgettable experience. Atsushi also helped take photos and videos during the snorkeling trip. They took meticulous care of every detail for their guests. Although it's not a beachfront hotel, their attentive service and comprehensive facilities allowed us to relax comfortably and peacefully—the view was even more beautiful than the sea itself. It's a fantastic hotel, and I highly recommend it.
