Well placed with clean rooms and friendly staff.

Ideally situated for visiting Leighton Buzzard on foot, the White Horse is just on the boundary between LB and Linslade and is easy to find from the train station. My (single) room was comfortable, warm and clean and the staff were extremely friendly. It should be noted that the pub serves one of the best pints of Guiness I've had outside of Ireland.

My only complaint would be the noise outside around closing time but I find this is always to be expected with a pub.

Clean, unpretentious, no frills, friendly staff.

The room was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly. The pub was a nice old-school sports pub. Clean, unpretentious, had everything I needed (wifi, tv, tea, shower), the towels were nice.

The bed could have been sturdier, but it wasn't a problem. I'm very happy with what I got for the price.

Pay and park nearby. It's good value.

Clean and tidy, good location, a short walk to the town centre, staff friendly., good shower room , and I appreciated the kettle and coffee set up in the morning

No parking. However, there is parking nearby at Tescos for a reasonable price, this needs to be pointed out on the write up, i did call and ask about parking and they pointed out it's permits in that area until after 6pm it would have saved me a little bit of trouble if Tesos had been mentioned, had a long walk as I parked a fair distance away at another paid location, normally it would be ok but I have a foot problem at present. I do realise that the person I spoke to was very busy when I rang so no worries, I will use this place again.

Excellent choice!

While the initial façade looks to all the world like a small, backstreet pub, the accomodation block of a number of converted rooms in what was originally a stabling yard were clean, comfortable and well appointed. Crisp, white decor, clean and comfortable.

There was initial confusion when we arrived due to our flight being delayed as a result of the storm although we had contacted the property regarding our potentially late arrival. That said, Caroline and the team couldn't have been more apologetic and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. It's details when it comes to a stay for us and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation once the initial confusion had been quickly sorted out.

Horrible stay and poor customer service

The location was convenient for my purposes

Bed sheets were stained, the room was oriented towards the yard of the pub so it was very loud until late at night, all my queries to the personnel were declined. I was here for work and I chose this place because it was conveniently located - but I regretted it. I ended up interrupting my stay there and changing accommodation during the stay and went to the Swan Hotel instead. The Swan turned out cheaper and a very decent choice (after 3 horrible nights spent at the White Horse it even felt like great luxury!) I claimed at the White Horse by email, received a reply blaming me for not contacting the management earlier (whereas I had informed / asked for help every single day at the pub! If someone would have told me „contact the management“ I would have done so, but I was only told „I can’t help“ and I was under the impression that they were the management. Weird way to handle customers). The email mentioned as well that I would receive a formal invoice as requested by my company, but it never came. And obviously, my request for a refund after such a bad experience was declined. In summary, not only a bad experience but also a bad and arrogant way of treating unsatisfied customers. As poor as hospitality can be.

Booked for my son and granddaughters for a single night. Very conveniently located and pleasant staff. I have booked rooms here for other members of my family and will use The White Horse again.

A bit noisy until pub closing time, but that is to be expected. An old building so the sound insulation is not good.

staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was clean and although basic had everything i needed.

When I arrived they had no record of my booking. all rooms are wrapped around and windows open onto the outside seating area of the pub. People were sat drinking chatting and laughing very loudly two feet from my window till closing time. As I stopped here to continue an early start walking 25 miles a day up the canal it was less than ideal. However if you stop there wanting to spend time in the pub would friends it would be fine.

Good, nice pub, not far from big Tesco.

Good pub. I would have liked if there was a curtain. The only window is in the ceiling. It is a single bed with a shower in toilet. There was no lift to room, only one floor of stairs.

I think £70 was a bit pricey for a single room.

I arrived late about 12 and got safely in via a locked entrance which was still quiet on the street

No breakfast

The Sat Nav which was presumably put on by booking.com sent me to was incorrect so my car went to the wrong place. It was quite expensive but I think that was because of the Formula 1 because I found the hotel because I actually wanted to be near Milton Keynes every accommodation was too expensive or sold out. This made it drive able on the night No parking at the pub so if driving you need to bear this in mind. I arrived on a busy Friday afternoon and ended up parking about 6 minutes walk away in a suburban street

l 'accueil : même pas 1 regard ,même pas 1 bonjour :elle appelle sa collègue et lui dit que ca n 'est pas à elle de s'occuper de nous ....devant nous ,devant tous les clients . le départ : la femme de ménage qui me hurle dessus pour qu'on sorte de cette chambre en me disant qu'elle allait chercher la propriétaire pour que je paie 1 journée supplémentaire (je ne savais pas que la sortie était à 11h00 et non midi comme partout )il était 11h15. Jamais on ne m'avait hurlé dessus comme ca ! et je ne parle pas de la chambre avec quelqu'un sur notre tête qui marchait entre 3h00 et 6h00 du matin ,de l'escalier qui grinçait et qui collé à la chambre (quelqu'un montait ,descendait sans arrêt.) le pire endroit de toutes mes expériences !
