The Nook Stays at Sea Residences

Immediately upon check-in, our experience was already disappointing. We arrived at 2:30 PM, just 30 minutes before the scheduled check-in time. We informed the host in advance and were told to wait until the official check-in time, which we completely understood. However, when the scheduled time came, it became difficult to contact the host/agent. We were eventually informed that the previous occupants had not yet left and that the room still needed to be cleaned. By 4:00 PM — already an hour past check-in — the agent finally arrived only to tell us that we would be transferred to a different tower with a supposedly identical unit. She instructed us to head there on our own, saying another agent would meet and guide us, then left without offering any assistance. Upon arriving at the new location, we waited for nearly another hour with no one showing up. When we contacted the original agent again, she simply said she was on the way. Unfortunately, when she finally arrived, we did not receive any apology for the delays or inconvenience. Instead, she immediately said, “Wag kayo magagalit sakin ha at ako’y maha-highblood na,” in an irritated and disrespectful tone. We were unable to properly voice our concerns because she quickly became emotional and expressed anger toward her employer instead. The replacement unit itself also fell short of expectations. The room strongly smelled of bleach, the cabinets were dirty inside, the bedsheets were old and stained, the faucet handle was broken, and parts of the wall were chipped. Throughout the walkthrough, the agent continued expressing frustration and dismissing the inconvenience caused to us and the itinerary we had planned for the day. Before leaving, she even said, “I’m not angry,” but then proceeded to slam the door. While some issues with the unit itself could have been overlooked, the poor customer service and unprofessional behavior of the staff left a very negative impression and affected our overall stay.
