Cleethorpes was a lovely weekend putting everything else aside.

Location close to sea front and good for walking both ways of Cleethorpes

Not enough parking overnight. Car park full so no overnight parking. Cleanliness poor in flat. I had to clean fridge and toaster myself before using. Couldn’t use pull out sofa bed because was full of crumbs and dog hair. Bedding underneath bed was dusty and had bugs in. I will never come back here again.

Great cottage, easy to get around.

Great Location, easy to get around, right at the centre of the promenade. You could easily get here if you did not drive and used trains and buses. Not far to closest bus stop or the shopping street full of restaurants and coffee shops. The beach was a street away and easy access to get down on the ramp that is at the Central promenade. The Wi-Fi was great and allowed me to work comfortably when needed. The washing machine and dish washer were also a great help when staying for longer periods. We did not need to use the gas hob or oven but would have been very handy.

The cottage is the bottom half of a terraced house so you have upstairs neighbours. This can get noisy when kids are running around upstairs. I have 2 kids so we are used to it but some people may find it distracting. My biggest problem was not being able to park at the cottage. This was my own fault for not seeing this on the listing. I did park about 100 meters up the road in a car park, it was £6 for the day. You can also leave the car over night and top up your parking daily. I spoke to the parking warden and they do not look for how long you stayed or how many times you top up the parking, even though the car park rules state you cannot do this. Unfortunately there were a couple of housekeeping problems that we found, but easily fixed with a clean and a wash.

SHEILAS COTTAGE

Great location near sea front in old part of town. Easy parking in Wardall Street 100 metres away. Comfortable clean house. Close to lovely shops on Seaview Street. Close to a wide range of restaurants, chippies, pubs, shops etc. We loved ELLES cafe on the promenade; and the Coast Light Railway.

No complaints. A dust pan and brush would be helpful.
