Melin Rhos Farm

Location, outstanding character of the house (e.g. its quirky layout, amazing fireplaces, space, setting in the landscape, gardens)outside table, having a bathroom and a wet room each with a toilet, kitchen, living room, bedrooms, conservatory. The local beach is outstanding. The coastal path is wonderful. Closeness to ancient Din LLigwy village and other ancient sites is good.

The low door way and three steps up into the ground floor bedroom from the back door and wet room. This makes the property unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties. Lack of a mirror in the wet room making it difficult for shaving and putting eye drops in. Nowhere to put clothes in the characterful downstairs bedroom. The notes didn't say where the conservatory door key was (it wasn't with 'most keys'). The walk to the beach along the road wasn't too pleasant-we were put off from going via the caravan site by the 'No public access ' notices.

The property overall is in an amazing location we walked to the beach every day with the dogs where they could run round. The grounds are really dog friendly huge field where they could enjoy themselves without issue. the house itself had so many rooms we never used the living room only use the conservatory/dinning room to relax in. I thought not having a tv would have been an issue but actually it was a blessing we had so many laughs playing the board games that are on the property.

the downstairs bedroom area needs a really good clean the bathroom stank of wee like if had not been cleaned. The mattress was unbelievably uncomfortable felt every spring really needs a new mattress. the bins only get emptied once every 3 weeks and when we arrived they were overflowing ( not the owners fault just annoying). Also there is a gate to the main road that doesn’t latch it was that windy it had been blown open, best to check with dogs as it goes onto the field.

Loved look, size, location and grounds.

It’s in desperate need of a deep clean, damp/mould addressing and some TLC. The owners were also unresponsive to messages. I also made a special request which was approved for my GFs birthday which was approved but there was nothing supplied 🤷‍♂️

Location of house and the gardens were lovely but the property was damp, dirty and full of spides and cobwebs
