Sol de México Apartments

Sol de Mexico far exceeded my expectations! When my fairy arrived at Isla Mujeres, it was a pleasant surprise to find that my apartment was a five-minute walk from the ferry. I contacted Victor and he responded immediately and was waiting for me with the keys. The apartment was another pleasant surprise. The balcony overlooked the main square and the main street in downtown area. It was a walking distance to Playa Norte (5 minutes). Amazing restaurants and shops were within 1-4 minutes from the property. Senor Frog shop was around the corner. A couple of supermarkets were 2 blocks away too. The apartment was a cute one bedroom with kitchenette and bathroom. All you need was available in terms of napkins, utensils, coffee making machine, kettle, stove, refrigerator. Vicor also provided me with coffee, iron and socket plugs since the sockets suited local electrical equipment plugs. Victor was the best host ever! He was always there to provide advice, give information and sometimes share company. We became good friends at the end of my stay.

I only wish I booked a full week instead of 3 nights. Isla is amazing and its beaches are top notch and much cleaner than any place I visited in Quintana Roo. Playa Norte was one of the best beaches I visited in the world. I regret that I wasted two nights in Tulum when I had Isla to spend my vacation in.

It was a fantastic location and exactly what we were expecting. Victor was a fabulous host, friendly, responsive, and responded to any questions we had. This is a self service apartment and we stayed 3 weeks. We did get cleaning once a week, but there was a broom available for the beach sand that inevitably gathered no matter how hard we tried. The location was perfect, quiet for the most part at night, and an easy walk from everything we needed. This is right on the church square and it was Easter, so there were a number of rehearsals and festivities that we enjoyed from our balcony.

Bathroom lighting could have been better, but I used the other mirror in the apartment when I needed to see more. There was also a step by the bed as you were getting in that could be marked better as both of us kicked the step a few times. My husband ended up putting a piece of paper towel in front of the step so he didn't forget. After 2 kicks I remembered.

La amabilidad del anfitrión Víctor. Desde el primer momento nos posibilitó a hacer el check in más temprano. Además, al irnos, nos permitió guardar nuestras valijas hasta la noche para poder disfrutar un poco más de la isla. Siempre se mostró muy predispuesto y amable. Lejos, el mexicano más educado y atento con el que nos cruzamos en todo el viaje. Por último, la ubicación es excelente.
