Highcross Corner

Beautifully decorated and every little detail of what you might need was thought out. The house was exceptionally clean. The bedding and towels were of high quality. Excellent value for money - this is the best house we have ever stayed in. The showers were amazing and shampoo, body wash etc were provided.

I could not think of one thing to fault the property on.

Highcross Corner was great for our family. Six beds of which we only used four but plenty of space so we all had a bedroom each if required (teenages did). The welcome was lovely with flowers and essentials such as milk and bread with a nice selection of coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Even bowls for our dog. The whole house felt very clean and the facilities were very good indeed although we didn't use the hob, oven, tumble dryer etc - they were all there. My wife has a spinal injury and the heating was easy to use (it was a rainy spell in between the heatwaves we are having now). The location was easy to get to and from, relatively close to Poulton town centre although we had to drive there. We all slept well and we all we sad to leave.

One or two little touches on arrival could be improved such as the plaster work around the main entrance (kitchen) and the gardening/weeding; but once inside the house was very well kept indeed. The house is on a road junction and whilst I feared this may be an issue the road noise was never excessive due to the quality of the windows and only became noticeable at all really in the morning rush hour.

The house was ideal, clean, superbly comfortable bed, and with a lovely welcome of fresh flowers and some essential provisions.

Sofa was super comfortable, but when family came round in the evening a slightly comfier armchair in the living room is all I would say the house would benefit from. Everything else was perfect.

Clean, well presented and the gift basket was a great touch
