About this apartment rental

Renovated and fully air-conditioned, the apartment «les Cigales» is a pretty 106m² ground floor in a house at less than 15 minutes’ walk from the port of La Ciotat. It can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people with its large areas and garden.

The vis-à-vis has been managed to give you the impression of being in your home.

The complete equipment will bring you great comfort.

It is an ideal place for stays with families, companies and crews (19 minutes’ walk from the entrance of the shipyard).



Included in the rental: WIFI, end-of-stay cleaning, sheets, towels, three parking spaces and your first consumables (coffee, toilet paper, garbage bag, washing-up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine capsules).



The house is in a dead-end street that cuts you off from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a soothing, green place only 500m from the first streets of the old town with its shops, restaurants, ... The Capucins beach, the Calanques of Figuerolles and Mugel are only 1.5km away. It is a very good location for easy access to the best areas of La Ciotat and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere.



One of the assets of the property is to offer a beautiful mediterranean garden of 220 m² that will appeal to young and old alike to enjoy good moments of idleness in the shade of olive trees, mulberry trees, strawberry trees or share barbecues to the rhythm of the song of the cicadas. It's a friendly place.



The air-conditioned living room is bright with its double exposure. Its large bay window gives direct access to the garden via a shaded terrace.

The kitchen open to the living room is fully equipped and very practical for cooking dishes for your loved ones.

The laundry area is equipped with a washing machine and dryer.



For sleeping, you have 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

2 bathrooms are independent and shared for 3 bedrooms. One is completely renovated and equipped with a walk-in shower, the 2bd one offers a bathtub.

The 3rd bathroom is in a large bedroom equipped with a wardrobe, a desk and air-conditioned. All bedrooms offer this level of equipment.



The bedding is recent and comfortable. You will have at your disposal, a bedroom equipped with a double bed (160x200), a bedroom with two single beds (80x200), a bedroom equipped with two single beds (90x200) and the last one offering a single bed (90x190) and a bunk bed (90x190).

Single beds can be grouped into double beds on request.

There are 3 toilets in total, 2 of which are independent.



Very convenient too, within walking distance, there are several local shops with a bakery, a wood-fired pizzeria, a caterer, a small supermarket open 7 days a week, a greengrocer, a wine shop.

The house and its garden are divided into two apartments that are completely independent of each other. Your apartment and its garden are dedicated to you only.

The owners live upstairs and are very discreet.

This person will introduce you to the property as a whole, how it works and will be available during your stay if you have any questions about the accommodation.

She will give you and comment on our tour guide who advises you on typical days to discover the region.

You can only smoke on the terrace or in the garden.

The neighborhood

The house is located near the old port, nestled in the heart of the old town of La Ciotat which is quietly explored along small streets full of charm, and free of all traffic, the center being pedestrianized. We pass in front of residences whose construction dates from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century. The tangle of streets and alleys leads to many squares, such as the Place Sadi Carnot and its refreshing fountain where you can stop for a drink.

You can also take advantage of the new quays of the old port, which were completely renovated in 2019. The markets and terraces are all invitations to take pleasure in the rhythm of the products, dishes and the Mediterranean climate.

You can easily enjoy La Ciotat and its unique environment with its indented and spectacular coastline, its bay nicknamed "THE GULF OF LOVE" but also its hinterland: Calanques park, Calanque de Figuerolles, park and Calanque du Mugel, the green island, the beaches, Castellet circuit, ...

On or underwater, on land or in the air, the choice of activities is wide: diving, sailing, kayaking, hiking or simply relaxing to enjoy the omnipresent sun.

You can also get back in your car and set off at your leisure to discover the AOC vineyards of Cassis or Bandol, visit the Calanques by boat, opt for a golf course, practice hiking in the Castellet massifs or in the Calanques reserve, discover the Golden Islands, Marseille, Aix en Provence, ...



Transport

You will enjoy all the amenities nearby. Bus (La Marine station, lines 40 from the station, 10, 20, 21), indigo car park in the city's garden, departure of shuttles to the green island or the Calanques, SNCF train station at 3.7 km.
