Ultimate Southbank Getaway with Free Parking

Lovely 2 bedroom apparent ment. Beds and pillows super comfy. Great location and a short walk to the nearest tram or bus stop. Lots of place to eat round the Southbank as well. Convenient Woolworths supermarket across the road and bonus onsite secure parking. Apparent was clean and modern. Will be back next trip to the city.

Coming from the country we aren’t used to the traffic noises and it was on the corner of a busy street so traffic day and night. But so many positives to the property that out weigh this.

There is no outdoor furniture on the balcony, it needs a couple of chairs and small table

Too far from the main area of Southbank. Had to cross a lot of main roads - traffic noise even on the 27th floor. The host didn’t give us the lockbox code and didn’t return our phone calls. Luckily the concierge was able to intervene but it was annoying.

Location was good, great coffee shop across the road.

Beds were very firm and the main bedroom was filled with light through gaps in the blinds. I would not want to stay during summer as it would be very warm with all the windows. Bedroom did have a reverse cycle air conditioner though. Also very noisy, could not believe we were on the 27th floor, it was like we were on ground floor! In description it said it had a mini bar and there wasn’t one. Also we were asked for a $400 security deposit, I raised this concern with the owner who rang me and he reduced it to $100 as we were only staying 2 nights. I have never been asked this when booking through Booking.com. Bottom line is that we really didn’t get a good night sleep due to the noise and light in the bedroom.
