"NAGOMI"Kyoto Okazaki

The location was good for us - quieter & close to subway, temples, shrines, museums, green space. Terrific back streets along canals, with good cafes and noodle shops.

The check-in process was difficult. No staff present, and while we (eventually) figured out the electronic system, we were never told which of the rooms was ours. So tried the electronic code on a couple of rooms before it worked. The a/c had not been turned on and it was stifling. (Outside “feels like” temp was over 100F) Once we figured out how to turn it on, it did cool down fairly quickly. Btw, the description is accurate- there is NO furniture other than a low table and the sleeping futons.

I loved the quietness and zen feeling of this place. It truly gave my family a traditional Japanese experience. Everything you need as essentials is provided.

All though not a huge deal since we had great walks, it is a bit distanced from main locations in Kyoto due to this being a residential area.

Il check in fatto con tablet, ma superabile con un po’ di pazienza.

Endroit tranquille . Hôte discret . Quartier agréable .

Il faut être jeune pour dormir au sol . Chambre très petite . 35 minutes à pied du centre ville .
