Excellent location for West Mids Safari Park which is where we needed to be. Easy to find. Parking great. Had everything we needed in house. Comfortable, warm, cosy.

Some tlc/repairs needed - nothing that majorly affected the stay but would give a better overall impression and appeal

Nice house and good for a short stay.

Looks like it needs improvements made in various places. Garden full of weeds. Kitchen tiles around the cooker were grubby. Wardrobe shelves were unstable/hanging but don't need to use them for short stays. Musty smell when you first walk in. More trays for oven needed plus no plug for sink. Bolt on inner porch door didn't line up. Curtains didn't cover all the windows in front room and porch.

It was close to the safari park and other conveniences like supermarkets and places to eat. The rooms were of a good size, and the beds and sofa were comfortable. Though we didn’t eat, the kitchen was okay and provided basic tea and coffee facilities. Dining table was a good size, and the seating area could seat 4 people comfortably. Some effort had been made to make the property feel homely with nice pillows and art work etc.

Very unfortunately, the cleanliness and upkeep of the property wasn’t good. Fans were covered in dust. Dusty grime in most rooms, dirt on the skirting boards and splashes of urine and grime all round the toilet area that had dust on it so appears not to have been cleaned in a good while. Paint chipping everywhere, the wardrobe and storage areas were falling with apart shelves hanging off. The beds were comfortable, but I think having 3 double beds is a bit of a challenge when you have people in your party who can’t necessarily sleep together. For example, my husband had to sleep with our daughter and I had to sleep with my son as we had another guest staying who needed their own room and the children can’t sleep in the same bed. A twin room in at least one of the bedrooms would have been much better for somewhere with so many rooms. The front yard was sadly really untidy, flags were broken. The front porch area had the option to have a bolt across but it wasn’t actually aligned so it didn’t lock. Can’t comment on the workings of the bathroom or the kitchen, as we didn’t use anything aside from the kettle, fridge and toilet and sink. I did note though, that only a few small towels had been provided rather than anything larger for post shower drying off. It has a lot of potential to be a lovely place, but some easily fixable issues leave it feeling uncared for. I don’t think for what I paid for one night, it was value at all. Personally it felt like somewhere I’d pay around £60. It was fine for a quick sleep after a day out and eating out and getting out again early the next day, but I wouldn’t want to be staying any longer or bathing or eating in there. I wanted to get a few more pics, but I was exhausted from the day and forgot before leaving.
